repeat after me:
- virginity is a social construct
- you don’t lose your virginity
- there’s nothing valuable or precious about virginity, it’s an imaginary concept
- virginity is inherently heterocentric
- your worth is not defined by whether or not you’ve had a dick inside you
- what you define as sex is up to you, you get to decide how many people you’ve had sex with
- the end
a serious fucking problem in society that needs to be stopped immediately
As a heterosexual guy let me just make it clear that not dressing “feminine”, being “overweight” or “too skinny”, having small boobs and most of all wearing glasses and being shy are not turn offs to me. In fact they make you seem a lot more human and I’d be so much more willing to ask you to be my girlfriend.
ok cool but thats not even the point of this comic though??
like we dont care what you or anyone wants from us we just want society and people to stop making everything revolve around our appearance and pleasing straight dudes, telling us what we can and cant do with our bodies and shoving all of these impossible and harmful standards of beauty in our face and then treating us like absolute garbage for not being any of that and gradually destroying our self esteem at an early age and making it seem like we need approval from others or guys to be attracted to us in order to love ourselves and making our physical appearance the end all be all of our existence in general
also you or anyone else telling us how much girlfriend potential we have because of a few traits we may or may not possess is the exact opposite of helping
yesyesyes yes and more yes thank you coffeemustache
As women, we are taught to be tiny. To have small bodies, to never be imposing. The ideal of our gender are thin and childlike, hairless and dainty. We are defined by our bodies; defined by our control over them. We are taught to obsess over our physicality and to be repulsed by our desires and intelligences. We are taught to walk scared late at night. We cradle our keys between our perfectly manicured fingers, walking gracefully like a baby antelope in a herd of lions. That our virginity defines our character. That I am a frigid bitch if I do not fuck him, and a dirty slut if I do.
